Now I am looking to improve on my solution. Ok, so I can use regular uncle mikes style sling mounts on a standard hunting sling to hold this thing on my shoulder (I never noticed the hole on the barrel band until now.) That will work, but it will be ugly, floppy and potentially unsafe, but with ALOT of care, it would work. I am sure I could just throw something on with paracord or whatever and be able to haul it around, but I also expect that at some point I am going to want to get at my shotgun in a hurry, and in a safe manner. I guess my real issue is being able to transition quickly and safely. With a 20" 590 this is much easier than a 26" Supernova. I have always tried to rig up whatever sling I am using to carry the gun in front of me, so no matter what, unless I fall on my face, I am not on 180 or sweeping anyone. My problem with that is worrying about the 180 and a long gun on a sling.

There is also the standard small hole hunting sling mounts on both ends. Does anyone make a QD mount that mounts between the receiver and the stock? All I can find are the GGG sling loops that mount that way. With regard to attaching a QD swivel to the stock, I like that idea, but I have the comfortech stock with the mercury, so I am not sure I want to go drilling all willy nilly without some further consideration. I might have one with a rail on it that I could attach either a loop or a QD to, but even if I cant find one, I am quite sure Taccom would be willing to make me one if I needed it, with the proper application of cash. Thankfully the Nordic tube seems pretty sturdy. I run a Nordic tube but a TACCOM clamp I am not sure how much good it really does me, because if the tube ever gets bent enough for the clamp to touch, it's already irretrievably broken, but I still have it on. A couple of clarifications, and a couple questions.
